2012.

Hello Everyone! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted and tons of stuff has happened. Let me ‘splain…no let me sum up.  In December I spent one fun week in Bamenda with the Grossman Sisters, Sadie and Liza.  They are a blast in a glass x 2.  Then I traveled back to St. Louis for the holidays.  I spent some much-needed time with the fam and with friends and with America in general.  I got back to Cameroon the second week of January and spent a week in Yaoundé for my mid-service conference and medical check-up.  I traveled back up to post mid-January, rushed to get next year’s applications for the girl’s scholarship collected and emailed, held a couple meetings, started class again and now here I am in Ngaoundéré spending some quality time with the internet once again.

Time flies.  I’m over half way done with service, my birthday is right around the corner, and one of my best friends in the whole world is getting married in May (Jogi’s getting a Dad!).  So there it is.

As for work, my main projects this year are teaching health class at Centre Socio (the high school alternate for women), getting a computer lab/cyber cafe started with Bourdier (my counterpart), installing a weekly HIV/AIDS info booth in the market, and planning a computer camp for the scholarship girls (everyone wants to learn computers!)…and then some other little things.

In other news, today I bought a blue guitar.  And last week I threw a little birthday party for my neighborhood friend, Aisha, who turned 16.  Here are some pictures.

Until next time, xoxo.
